Arctic Cat is a leader manufacturer of snowmobiles, ATVs and side-by-sides. I created a series of shirts to start a casual apparel section to go along with their existing more technical apparel like riding suits and helmets. The shirts use a variety of different graphics, colors, fonts and styles so that each shirt is unique and offers a little something for everyone. The brand’s leaping cat logo appears in a few places, along with a panther head design based on a mural inside their corporate offices. One element that was important to include in multiple pieces was the 1962 founding date. Arctic Cat was acquired in 2017 and rebranded in their parent company’s name. Their loyal customers, however, demanded the return of the Arctic Cat name, which returned in 2020. The 1962 date and home of Thief River Falls, MN help to show that this is the same company their fans have always loved.
